MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Paula Stanton

Where are you from? 

Born and raised in South Florida.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:

I’m married 30 years this month (October) and have 2 fabulous adult children.

I’m a former collegiate athlete and teaching tennis professional. I also love music and in a past life (Lol) sang professionally. As a dear friend has told me “Paula, if there was supposed to be a keyboard or drum set on the dash of your car, they would have put it there.”

How did you become interested in Photography? 

Since I was a young child I have always been infatuated with freezing time. There is just something about it that has deep meaning for me.

What type of photography do you specialize in? 

I specialize in Wildlife and Nature.

How did you come to specialize in this type of photography?

I love the outdoors and I am passionate about wildlife. I thrive on telling their story through photography and videography.

What other attributes do you have that you think contribute to your success as a photographer?

I am very committed to my craft - and competitive. I enjoy learning. You can only be truly creative when you know the technical side of photography or videography like the back of your hand. You are then free to apply your vision to your work. It isn’t easy, but it is truly rewarding.
