KELLY SCHNEIDER - FINE ART PORTRAITS - 1 DAY WORKSHOP

SCHEDULE: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm - We will have a working lunch.

LOCATION: 2,400 sq ft studio with 2-3 stations. This is a hands-on program; bring your equipment.

WORKSHOP - AGENDA

08:00 am -10:00 am - Discussion/Demo on “Salient” portraits and the three pillars to powerful portraits

10:00 am -1200 pm - Hands-on learning

We will have models and various lighting to use (constant and strobe) to apply the “Salient” portrait concepts discussed

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm - Working Lunch

1:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Continue with hands-on learning. All students will act as primary and assistant photographers in making themed fine art portraits (Dutch Masters, Victorian, etc.).

Kelly will conduct a live image edit demonstration and show how just using the core LR/PS tools/actions and NIK plug-ins is all you need to produce powerful world-class images.

KELLY SCHNEIDER BIO

Kelly Schneider, PPA Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsmen, Certified Professional Photographer, Maryland PPA Fellow.

Born in California and raised in Oregon, Kelly joined the US Navy in 1980, where he served for 29 years. During his US Navy travels worldwide, including 137 countries, he became aware of his passion for photography and “capturing” the life around him. In 2010, Kelly began his pursuit of professional portraiture and growing and developing his skills in creating “salient” portraits.

In 2012, Kelly and his wife started the family photography business focusing on weddings and portraiture/Boudoir. Over the past 30 years, he has been assigned to many education and skills development positions. He has earned a Master of Science degree in Human Systems Integration from the Navy Post Graduate School in Monterey, California. He has completed the Executive leadership course at UC Berkeley and Duke University and recently retired from his government position. He developed, designed, and delivered the 90-million-dollar training program for the FORD Class Nuclear Aircraft Carrier program. The KSFINEARTS Education programs as built and designed based on proven scientific methods. 

Over the past few years, Kelly and his wife Kalina (also a Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsman) have been hosting workshops in the US and week-long portraiture-based events in Europe. KSFINEARTS is focused on Photographic education and fine art portraiture. 

Kelly is currently writing his first book on “The Salient Portrait – the science behind it and how to achieve it” and is a core element of all his workshops and training events. 

Kelly is married to Mrs. Kalina Schneider from Katowice, Poland. Kalina and Kelly live in Cape Coral, Florida.
