Spend an entire day learning how Internationally Award Winning Master Photographer Myra Thiessen takes her images to the next level.
In this workshop, Myra will demonstrate how you can create award winning images on a shoestring budget. She believes you don’t have to always spend a lot of money to tell a story or create a stunning image. All you need is a vision and develop an eye to find things from the ordinary day to day life and put it together to make an extraordinary image.
WORKSHOP - AGENDA
09:00 am -10:00 am - Presentation and discussing some styles created with ordinary things.We will go over the main lighting setup’s most used for portraiture and prepare for shooting.
10:00 am -1200 pm - Hands-on learning. Set up for the stylized shoot and everyone will have a chance to capture a few images for later in the day to w
We will have models.
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm - Lunch
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Everyone uploads images for retouching and we will dive into post processing -retouching.
Myra will be going around each person to make sure they are understanding the retouching process.
MYRA THIESSEN BIO
Myra is a Florida-based artist -photographer who specializes in Fine Art Portraits and Weddings, she also runs Myra Thiessen Photography along with commissioned oil paintings. Myra has finessed the ability to combine the two concepts.The beauty of oil painting, with all the zest of real life photography. Her personal theory for photography is "it is the only medium that stops time, from the moment that the shutter is pressed and the image is captured; the image will never be repeated again with all the elements that are happening at THAT moment." She finds that capturing a portrait the most rewarding as it allows her to capture the soul to be passed down for generations to come.
She's been published in many types of projects.Her interests vary from Fine art and Concept Portraits to Wedding Photography.Her main goal is to capture their story from behind her lens.

Myra is also a member of PPA, FPP & Tampa Bay Society of Photographic Artists along with the TAPPA local Professional Photographers Guild. She has over the past 5 years accumulated many merits and awards, the big ones are as listed below.
